Justine and Ian’s San Dimas Wedding (Part II)

The rest of Justine and Ian’s wedding was consumed with laughs and beautiful DIY details to drool over. From mad-lib love letters, an antique typewriter, home-made cake pop party favors, and the custom cake topper, Justine (with the help of her sister) thought of every small detail from top to bottom. Even their sweetheart table was decorated with their yellow and gray colors and mason jars.  Before the reception began, we went for a little stroll in the golf cart around the San Dimas Canyon Golf Course for a photo op. With a simple adjustment of her headband and letting her hair down, Justine instantly had a more casual second look for the rest of the evening! It was time for the party to begin! My personal favorite part of the night was the cake cutting. These two were showing some serious dance moves WHILE cutting the cake, and then Justine proceeded to literally feed her guests herself with the slice they cut out!

Thank you two for an amazing night! I had a blast and wish many years of happiness for you both! Congrats! Enjoy your honeymoon to the Caribbean!

Justine and Ian’s San Dimas Wedding (Part I)

They say the secret to finding the true love of your life is finding that one person that completes you as a whole. Justine and Ian truly are each others halves. While Justine describes herself as a Type A personality, she says that Ian is the complete opposite of her. He is a go-with-the-flow/keep positive type of guy. He keeps her grounded when she is stressed from all of her organization and schedules! She also describes him as goofy, yet sentimental. After spending time with these two on their wedding day, she is SO right! Ian IS very goofy, and believe it or not….very sentimental. While I don’t want to call him out TOO hard on this fact, I will say that Ian cried “more than once” on their wedding day. All of the tears were very heart warming- seeing Justine for the very first time, holding his mom during their first dance, saying his vows to Justine, and thanking all of their guests for attending the most special day of their lives.

Please take a look at the first half of their wedding day. Justine got ready with her girlfriends at the Pacific Palms Resort, and we then traveled to the San Dimas Canyon Golf Course for the ceremony and reception.

Up next, the FUN from the reception!! and more!! Stay tuned….

The Shaw Family visits San Diego!

Kami and her family came to San Diego all the way from Washington and decided to take some family shots while visiting this “sunny city”. Kami is also a photographer, and knows how weather plays a major part in planning a photo session. Coming from Washington, a state with a reputation of gloomy skies, she knew that San Diego would be an ideal spot for those sunny beach photographs that are hard to come by back home. As luck would have it, it was gloomy all day in San Diego too!!!! I kept telling her, “I swear, this never happens!!!”, almost as if I felt it was my fault that the sun was having a temper tantrum that evening. But this shoot proves that weather can not determine how your session will be, but rather the nature of your subjects. The boys were packed with energy and smiles, and many beautiful images were captured. They will have to come back next year and I will put in a special order of sunshine for their visit!!
