Balboa Park is one of the most stunning and picturesque places in San Diego, and is usually a top choice for engagement sessions with clients. Not only to my brides and grooms love this place, but so do the thousands of tourists who visit it everyday! The magical thing that happens with weddings (and engagement sessions) is that we somehow find ourselves in the right spots at the right times. With a graduation going on that day in the park, there was NO where to park our car, but yet the go-to spots around the museums and pathways seemed to be empty! I had never seen Balboa like this before. It was a ghost town for the evening, and we had the whole place to ourselves! I also give my clients some prep talk before a shoot. I tell them that a lot of people get nervous in front of the camera but that it is my job to make you feel comfortable. Honestly, I probably didn’t even have to tell these two that! They jumped right in and were so natural with each other! Yadira and Sergio are getting married this upcoming January and they couldn’t be more excited. I think taking engagement photos is just one of those “fun” steps in the wedding process that these two really got to enjoy the other day. I can’t wait for their big day either!
